Please, sign the petition, tell, share and SHOUT!!! This is a VERY real disease. It is a killer disease. How many have suffered and died because it was undiagnosed, misdiagnosed or they were told, "It's all in your head!"? Countless. And counting. I call this one of the silent diseases because it doesn't cover your body in leasions or make you cough up blood, or any of the other things so many "noticeable" disease cause. We suffered because we knew no better. But now we do. I firmly believe it is out responsibility and duty to make hyperparathyroidism known to more throughout the medical community and the general public. Those of us who have been educated must now educate others. Doesn't matter if we make some vain drs angry. Let them be angry. What matters is saving that grandmother's life. What matters is giving those three little children their mommy back. What matters is truly living with quality. We MUST get the word out. We MUST not stop. If only one person's life is made better for all our efforts, it is TOTALLY worth it. And so are we!!!!

I have gone years with undiagnosed hyperthyroidism. Finally diagnosed and scheduled with Norman Parathyroid Clinic in Tampa 5/15/17. Doctors NEED to get knowledgeable of this horrible disease that is 100% curable. You go to doctor expecting them to figure out what is wrong and ego or lack of knowledge keeps one from getting a proper diagnosis. Thank God I found a doctor who took action after years of looking for answers.

Didn't know I was suffering from this since my early twenties. It has affected my relationships and my life in a large way. Please do not neglect this disease and bring more awareness about this to the general public.

I was diagnosed 5 years ago and due to the outdated practises at some hospitals I am only now going to have the problem sorted! I've lost more than 5 years of my life due to medical so called professionals who are backward thinking!

Please help raise awareness so that others who are suffering can see a light at the end of a very deep black hole.

I did eventually get curative surgery after two years of being told I had secondary hyperparathyroidism due to vitamin d deficiency.

This is an awful disease, and there is not enough awareness for the public or health workers. Once diagnosed there is complete absence of funded support or advice available.

Please support this petition - the symptoms of this disease are truly debilitating and doctors for whatever reason are simply not educated about it!

This needs major exposure and education

As someone who is still suffering after surgery 18+ months ago with one adenoma removed, it's taken til now to be diagnosed with persistent disease with no changes in levels and worse symptons since surgery. I have been constantly ignored and dismissed by Dr's who dont fully understand this debilitating illness, and the damage that can be done to the body as a whole. Education and awareness is paramount, if patients were diagnosed early and appropriate treatment (surgery) there would be less future medical problems in these ignored patients in the long term. Awareness + education + action = Cure

This disease almost killed me. People need to know about this illness.

Please take us suffers seriously, I don't even recognise the person I've become, it's not living but existing

This disease tried to kill me 3 times, heart rate to 200 beats per min, TIA & then such a high calcium rate that I ended up in A&E with major organs closing down. The operation to remove the offending parathyroid gave me back my life.
