I am in support of the current plan. It will give Hyer students an opportunity to attend a new school, with larger classrooms, flex-space, outdoor learning areas, technology (that works), etc. one year sooner. And since it lies within the Hyer boundaries already, this plan provides for less disruption to families of both schools. Inconvenient for some? Sure. But many of us will have to deal with inconveniences over the next few years. The plan makes sense for the district and will benefit our children.

I am fine with the 2 year Hyer displacement plan if it makes sense for the district overall.

Thank you Dr. Trigg for working so hard to keep HPISD the best place to teach our kids!

I support and respect the decisions of the group that studied this situation in detail, looked long-term, and took into consideration the impact to ALL families in the district. The members of that committee were friends and neighbors in our community, and had to make decisions best for the whole, not just some.

I am certain decisions for the plan have not been made lightly. Many considerations and reasons have been made for justification of the current plan. We must remember there are many families affected by this in our surrounding neighborhoods and for every one family upset by the plan there is another family equally as impacted in one way or another. It is time we come together to do what is best for our ENTIRE Community - and not focus our attention on the short term impacts and needs of any particular family or group. Our children, parents, teachers and staff along with our surrounding neighborhood friends, family, neighbors, teachers and staff deserve the best - even if it means 2 years at the new school to make the most sense for the majority of our beloved community.

In addition, children zoned for the new school will face way too much change and upheaval if Hyer only goes to the new school for one year.

We all need to support the ES Plan for obvious reasons.

Bradfield is catty corner to HPISD ES #5, and as such, the relocation plan makes sense, as is.

I live next to the new school, and both my kids will attend Hyer next year and during the years of displacement.
