Hydrocephalus does not mean brainless

Please be truthful in facts that most people with this condition have.

I've a son with hydrocephalus and nope... Doesn't mean he doesn't have a brain!! He's amazingly clever, just needed a shunt to control excess csf.

They r not brainless they r super hero with powerful brain.

Show was not 100 percent accurate and a disgrace for parents going through the same condition.

I may have had 25 brain surgeries due to hydrocephalus, but it hasn't stopped me from graduating from high school, going to college, and getting 2 computer certifications from a trade school. I have held many computer related jobs such as General Motors, State of Oregon, Salem Hospital, Providence Hospital and many more. Having hydrocephalus may slow me down at times, but it has not stopped me from living life getting married and having a family of my own. I now deal with a seizure disorder, but it has not slowed me down!

I have hydrocephalus I am 24 years old my shunt no longer works anymore it isnt because my brain grew or nothing to do with the brain its because my Ventricles don't need the shunts help anymore and I still have it because it won't remove it because they won't remove it because I'm well in myself and but I will always have hydrocephalus

The programme was totally inaccurate. Hydrocephalus does not mean you do not have a brain. The dark area on MRI scans is the level of cerebrospinal fluid within the cavities of the brain. Nor does a person with hydrocephalus necessarily lack mental development. I should know. I have hydrocephalus myself.

This statement is so true, just because we have hydro doesn't mean we are stupid or brainless. Everyone with hydro is different and many people go onto advanced education like me; I'm studying at univeristy to become a nurse and help people through outgunned times. Just like the nurses did for me when I was a baby and diagnosed with hydro

I've had Hyrocephalus since birth and am now 45 years old and still going strong.

We need true factual awareness out there! Not lies and exaggerated stories.

I think this is disgusting that people and certain Dr's on the programme believe it is true how did they qualify.

Misleading/ uninformed information leads to uniformed decisions being made which effects life's!
