This is a sad example of 'uncommon sense' to destroy a valley for a bypass that is too expensive and no one will use!!!

MOTI builds roads to move vehicles, there is not enough traffic use to warrant the gross expenditure of this project, not to mention the obvious unkown costs to Peachland's watershed, ecosystems endangered species and wildlife, , road maintenance costs, motorists vehicle costs, and socio -economic loss for the residents and business of Peachland, The bypass is a fools errand. Myopic short-termism has wrecked so many wonderful parts of Canada. Do we really need to continue this failed approach in one of the most scenic places in Beautiful BC? It doesn't seem as though the residents of Peachland are clamouring for this bypass to be built. Instead, it appears to be just another make-work project, but unfortunately one that will bring few if any benefits. Surely there are far better solutions than this.

Don't do this, Peachland is a small community with natural beauty. It's becoming more important to keep our natural resources and to protect our watersheds as well.

We live just below where this bypass would be and it is crucial to us that it is not allowed to go through. Peachland is a rare community in that it is still rich in ecology and wildlife in comparison to many BC towns. We want it to remain as such!

To change the course of the current highway, to go around Peachland, is wrong in so many ways. Widen the existing roadway please

This bypass will NEVER happen, just think of the earthworks, moving involved, easier and cheaper for MOTI to move earth for 2 lanes of highway where infrastructure already exists than to 4 lane up in the boonies where no services are available, ...think about it and if you ever have any doubt as to government decision making....just follow the money DON'T BYPASS PEACHLAND!!!

I heard no good reason for this destruction.Leave our beauty alone the roads already steal some gorgous views , i hate freeways and no posts.So do our tourists.The tripping should be so pretty that tourists will be enjoing all there trip not just the destination.

The earth is not ours to destroy, we share it with so many other species and need to respect them and their beauty.... Our life will go on with or without the highway but the many other animals won't, we need to protect our neighbors and keep our earth full of all the beauty and serenity it has to offer!

The 'in your face' issue with a new road is the cost of maintaining the old one and it's odd that a town that voted down a curling rink due to the 'cost' of a cup of coffee is seeming to support an annual cost in the millions.
