I live off campus and have a dog! I think a pet can be great in relieving stress and anxiety, as well as providing college aged kids with a "purpose" in life. It is so nice going home knowing a happy pup is waiting for you, and I really think (if done correctly and responsibly) on campus pet ownership could improve students' lives!
