Surely the design of the lamposts doesn't matter from an efficiency perspective. Why not fit the more efficient internals into the existing posts?

Historical elegant lamps should be kept as keeping the historical charactor of the highstreet, rather than being replaced by historically irrelevent charactorless modern sticks.

To much of the character of our villages is being exchanged for cheap tacky alternatives!

Please refurbish the existing lamp posts in hurst. It is so important that we keep them to keep our village beautiful.

Keep hurst original. Keep the traditional identity of the village. That's the charm and lure of village living.

My family have been born and bred in Hurstpierpoint for the last 100 years! The iconic lampposts are part of what makes the village beautiful it would be tragic to remove them and replace them with awful modern day sore thumbs!!!

It would be very sad to lose some the character that makes our village so special

Maintaining the historic elements of the village is vitally important. The lamp posts are part of the village's character and need to be saved.
