Please don't give up the opportunity for a fully-funded LRT line. The Queen St. LRT can be debated later, don't screw up something free now.

This LRT would not only support economic growth in Brampton, but for Peel and the entire GTHA region. Imagine how beautifully European, Main Street would be with the LRT! It's a win-win for everyone.

I live in Scarborough but sign this petition on principle. Enough with the NIMBYism. Seriously.

Don't get seduced by the whining NIMBYs or the special interest groups: do what is right for Brampton. Vote for the LRT as planned, approved and funded.

Definately one of the best plans for Brampton in years. To say no to this would be a terrible move. We need something done.

Brampton needs this LRT. The opportunity cost of looking this gift-horse in the mouth are staggering. Don't let the old rich who are already prosperous lining the road south of Wellington let Brampton hemorrhage talent, business, jobs, and wealth and deny the rest of us a city that could be an economic success. Union Station isn't surrounded by commerce and trade by mistake. Transit hubs become economic hubs, not the other way around. This is the first step to becoming an economic hub: a central meeting point for the financeers in Toronto, the techno-geeks in Kitchener-Waterloo, the Distribution Centers in Mississauga, and the logistics hub in Vaughan. Combine this with Brampton's strong manufacturing sector and a bigger reason for foreign investment to flow into our city. Imagine the prosperity this would bring us; prosperity that can only follow through the creation of a transit hub via the Hurontario LRT.

All heritage buildings will be left intact and not a tree will be removed in this plan. There is no better way to connect people to core than through Main/Queen and it will be fully funded by the province. Lively Pedestrian traffic is main thing that will grow and attract more businesses to the core. This would be considered a major transportation hub for people to live near especially with hourly go train for professionals working outside of the city. It would be a mistake not run this LRT past steeles northbound where the majority of people reside. A second intersecting LRT can always be created on Queen in the future. the population will growth will demand this in the upcoming decades.

It is the most sensible, cost effective route for the LTR. Scrambling the downtown Brampton portion will penalise most of our residents for the aesthetic feelings of a very few. This proposed route does impinge on "heritage" feelings but is best for Brampton. I support the proposed downtown route. Hugs. ISH.

Brampton needs LRT. Since the Province is footing the bill we should honor their plan.

If we ever want an actual downtown we need this. It's time to decide we are city or just a permanent suburb.
