There is such strong overwhelming support for the LRT on Main st. It is a no-brainer that the HMLRT project is an important project for Brampton. It makes more sense to connect Go transit stations than terminating the train at Gate Way terminal. Councillors must show leadership and need to make decision based on the overall benefits the LRT has to offer than worrying about little details like farmer's market, parking... those minor details will be eventually worked out anyway...There are so many experts, designers, architects and other professionals who come up with all these detailed plans...Just say yes Brampton council!

Unfortunately, in the past this city has suffered from a lack of vision for the future. It is not a perfect solution but would be a great way to show Queen's Park we are serious about growth. Let's not continue the mistakes of the past 20 years.

Maxine, you're right, we need to look to the future and not be shortsighted about this. I believe there are already plans to stop the LRT at Wellington or move the farmer's market to Garden square or Gage Park. I personally love it and would have to lose it. I definitely think it can bring business to our Downtown. Development follows transit. There's lots of room for growth considering the many empty storefronts in our Downtown.

I am not totally convinced but I do believe in the future for our kids and grandchildren and transportation for them will be vital. Will it bring more business to downtown Brampton, that is the part I am trying to figure out, but I agree with the LRT coming to Brampton. Let the games begin. Brampton shouldn't stay in the 40's. My one concern is the summer food market in downtown Brampton. I hope they can find a suitable location for everyone.

I am not a resident of Brampton, but when I do visit family in Brampton it will be easier to get around with the LRT.
