Hurlie substation resubmission objection-Save Our Mearns

We do not wish this to go ahead, for many reasons, main one, for health reasons, secondly totally abusing the beauty of our countryside

The damage and risk possed is immeasurable and not in the best interests of the local area or country in general.

This should not be allowed to happen

We must block it at all costs

Don’t destroy our beautiful countryside and put our health at risk.

Do not agree on the damage those pylons will do, on tourism, nature, environmental and health issues

I object to the proposal as detailed in the petition.

On all accounts these are a monstrous desecration of OUR countryside.

I object to the proposed substation as detailed in the petition.

The Mearns valley is of huge cultural and geological importance, which seems to be underestimated. Our Sunset Song countryside has a microclimate highly suited to agriculture. Other options are available for the necessary power infrastructure development, the current plans are excessively detrimental to the surrounding environment.

I strongly object to this destruction of our countryside & wish to safe guard for future generations.

The complete industrialisation of our country through these pylons is nothing that Scotland needs and purely for the benefit of corporate greed and England. It is an attack on the democratic will of the people.

I wish to strongly object to the Hurlie Substation on environmental grounds

Strongly feel the environment needs protected. The plans fall short and misleading

I would like to note my objection

Utter disgrace how they think it’s ok to blight our beautiful countryside.

The proposal for the Hurlie substation and associated giant pylons fails to take into account the damage that will be done to the local ecology. It will destroy habitats and create a huge change to the environment/scenery

Objections

Hugely object to this environmental vandalism. Our beautiful country deserves better than to be sold. The plants, trees, animal, bird and insect life is irreplaceable. We are merely custodians of the land for the future, it's not ours to pollute and sell off.
