Art is an important outlet for many students. We are not nurturing our student imagination and creativity by only offering it 1/2 a year. Art is a way to express your thoughts, feelings and a therapy to some. We need YEAR ROUND ART in ALL elementary schools!!

I know how much my students as well as my own child enjoy art every day. I know how much I wished I had a full time art teacher in school as well. This is so important for our future leaders to be able to express themselves through this outlet.

Children can benefit from a creative outlet - and with a little adult guidance can discover a number of constructive ways to express themselves through art rather than by “acting out”. It also raises awareness in recognizing how “art” can contribute to our lives and culture - it’s not just sports and academics that make for well-rounded maturation.

Every child should have exposure to the arts full-time at least up through elementary school it teaches us about what it means to be human it offers us ways of communicating with out words . Be a huge source of confidence in schools where other subjects aren’t .
