Art education is such an important part of a child’s development related to creative problem-solving, balance and perspective, among other things. Please make this available to all of our students!

Not all kids excel academically. There are many who rely on art for their sense of accomplishment and confidence/self-esteem!

It is important for students to have year-round, full-time access to art!

All elementary schools should have a full time art instructor. As a retired teacher in Humble ISD, I saw the importance of art for every child....:

Art is an important and healthy outlet for self expression for young growing minds trying to comprehend our world. For 3/5 of my daughters I bought them sketchbooks yesterday and this is a way for them to be creative, relax and even sufferings vent and cope with every day stresses.

Art is so important and an important developmental tool not only for motor skills but also mentally to allow kids to think outside of the box and express individuality and creative freedom. Please take careful consideration to allow your art program to last more than just half a year.

All children need to be given a creative outlet, it helps enormously with their mental and emotional development!

Have two boys in elementary and although I place a lot of emphasis on academics, art and physical education is a vital part of making a child well rounded.

Please, keep the fine arts in public schools! Kids tend to focus better in other classes when they are given a chance to be creative!
