Annually, 25 million people are trafficked worldwide. Over 1000 reported cases occur in Canada! This devastating modern slavery happens daily in our communities and is never adequately punished. The penalty in Canada is a mere 3 years. It is not enough to penalize these traffickers for their wrongdoings. It is not enough to deter them and ensure it is known that we Canadians will not stand for this injustice!
Sign this petition to let the Canadian government know we will not stand by and watch these criminals walk free after they have tortured the innocent. This abuse on humankind deserves a penalty of at least 25 years. Together we can end human trafficking and serve justice to all those who use and abuse others for their own pathetic gain
