This is a great thing for SMU. Also, the work the students are doing to make this happen is what SMU should want all of its students to do.

Great to see SMU students putting their minds and time into such a worthwhile cause. Great to see Dr. Rick leading the group as well. Sydney Saunders father callled my attention to this. Keep up the good work Sydney! Steve De Mars SMU Class of 1990

This is a wonderful idea and a great way for students with similar interests to be together and share their ideas.

This program means so much to so many people. Even as an alumni, I still go back and visit Professor Halperin to learn of more opportunities the program is offering. I hope SMU shows how much it values this department by granting it the prominent space it deserves, especially as more prospective students are visiting (specifically for their interests in Human Rights!)

I can think of no better way to consolidate community concern and involvement at SMU than providing a haven for students with a passion to defend human rights and make the world a better place.

I think this would be a very positive space for the SMU community. It would promote acceptance and a community vibe.
