patients are not prisoners, but they are being treated far worse. Prisoners are getting visitors. So wrong in every
way

It is so sad my cousin had a stroke she's now in a nursing home we haven't seen her in a year she needs to have family around her so sad xxx

What I wouldn’t give to visit my Daughter this week post op. I’ve seen her twice in this year and she’s needed me to help her more and more whilst waiting for this very delayed surgery and will continue to need help for some time to come after it.

A basic human right. Imagine suffering a life changing health impact and waking up surrounded by unknown faces. No contact at all with loved ones. Messages by unknown people supposedly from loved ones will not help. Kenny thought he was being experimented on. Now imagine the fear that he must have had to live through for weeks on end whilst trying to recover and come to terms with all that has happened. This decision to keep loved ones apart is nothing short of barbaric and those responsible will have to answer for it at some point. Human contact with loved ones aids in recovery and progress. I will not be silenced by fear mongering. I am praying to GOD that these manmade "rules" which are taking away our rights are stopped.

Putting our loved family needs first is vitally important, especially when they are in crisis. Family contact aids recovery and well being in all NHS patients. Kenny was not conscious during the only visit and I thought it was end of life but actually the Dr treating him was more concerned with wanting the DNR compiled. Give the patients the same rights as everyone else.

I think the part of getting better and back to normal is to be surrounded by family and friends it's a hard enough time for a patient and family so they need to be able to have visitors.

People need to see a visitor especially in these new single wards in DGRI, my husband was in there for over two weeks last September and I was allowed to see him for 1 hour a day which was the quickest hour a day ever. It wasn’t long enough and I was the only person allowed to see him, so none of his children got to see him for over two weeks before he died

Human contact with loved ones aids not just mental health but physical health. As a daughter and daughter in law of a mother in law who can take seriously ill very quickly and has been nearly killed off every time she has a hospital stay it is vital for her to have family by her side her many health complications and allergies make her high risk in hospital

I know someone in this position they should be able to have atleast one named visitor who can visit its an absolute disgrace
