Petition on behalf of students of all merging JCs to keep teachers

Let the teachers of the merging JCs stay. They are the ones making a huge impact on their student's life. Besides, they're probably the people whom the newest batch of students are the most familiar with (: Transfering the staffs of the merging JCs will only create an unfamiliar surrounding for the students of both JCs when they arrive at school next year. Also, the memories being created currently may be shortlived when the students get emotional upon realising that their teachers are leaving.

not from a merging JC but i agree, teachers are a huge impact on students and they should stay with the 2017 batch till As 2018 have ended.

it's already very cruel to merge schools without even taking into account students' (of the affected schs) opinions. it's very very selfish. if teachers were to leave as well it's absolutely heartless tbh, teachers are our lifeline really, be considerate

Yes agree cos i think that merging jcs are actually causing one to lose its history and culture. There are so many other ways to increase the school population, like by increasing cut off point. Merging of school means the other batces of people are unableto enjoy the same type of conduciveness the jc has.

i love all my teachers and they make the boring subjects fun. moe please dont do this.

I think it is really unfair if the teachers to loss their job provided they have been earning the average but contributibg the society significantly.

This decision affects not just the Teachers and staff but also the students and hopefully MOE will be able to understand where the students are coming from as well. After all, isn't the main purpose of school to be able to adequately support students to guide them towards success?

our teachers hold this school very dear to their hearts especially because they were old boys and girls - isn't there any other solution to falling birth rates besides forced and absolute mergers?
