The school authorities just confirmed that our teachers will indeed stay with us until the 2017 batch graduates. I truly cannot believe this outcome but it belongs entirely to the 439 of you who stood up for what we needed. Please keep looking out for one another as we finish …

The merging news reached us, students, suddenly when most of us just settled into our new schools and were embracing our new school culture. Although we are upset about how opinions of students weren’t taken into consideration during the making of this decision, we understand the rationale behind this decision. However, we are deeply disheartened by about our teachers leaving so soon because of how emotionally attached we are to them. Also they are the ones who know our true weaknesses and strengths and hence would be able to help us successfully not only in terms of character building but also academically because of their teaching styles that we have grown accustomed to in this period of time. We would hence kindly request that all partner JCs would be able to retain their teachers atleast until the 2017 batch of students graduate. It would truly benefit all us students affected by the sudden merger.

I honestly never thought 250 people would care about this issue when I started. It is truly humbling to see that so many of you share this same concern for our teachers. This momentum is entirely because of your belief in the cause.

Seeing one hundred people sign this is truly overwhelming. I never imagined this would reach so many people, but this momentum belongs entirely to all of you who cared enough to step up.

Seeing the count climb toward 250 signatures leaves me honestly stunned. This momentum belongs entirely to you and your willingness to speak up for our teachers. If each person here could help just one more classmate notice this today we might finally reach that next milestone before the meetings begin.

as an alumni of one of the merging JCs, i empathise with my junior batches. no school journey is comeplete without a pillar of support from teachers, so it would be best if the affected students keep their teachers.

Agree! As a J1, I've just adjusted to my teachers' style of teaching. Changing them would definitely affect us J1s next year! :(

Our teachers are an integral part of our school culture and life and we want to be able to finish the last years with them as a family.

Teachers play an important role in shaping students' character and memories . By changing teachers we are letting go of some of the people that enrich our lives. Adapting isn't easy and it would take students a long time to adapt to new teachers so please atleast make the merger a smoother transition.

It is truely saddening for such a thing to happen but its for practical reasons and so I only hope the teachers can stay with us until the end of our journey

Teacher's play an integral role in the development and preparation for student's exams. By changing teachers this would be extremely disruptive and detrimental to our school grades. This gives an unfair advantage to IP schools that aren't involved in any merger.
