We ask that you join us as we urge the Hamilton Southeastern school board to think critically, using data-driven decisions to implement changes that will bring our students back to in-person learning, and to do this quickly. We understand that this needs to be done with the appropriate safety protocols, however we are also aware that this virus is not a threat to this age group. We also want to be clear that we support those wishing to continue a virtual option being able to do so. I am honestly overwhelmed by the momentum we have built together lately. This movement has grown far beyond what I imagined possible when I first started this effort. None of this would be happening without the time and energy you all have put into this cause.

Children are the losers in the shutdowns. I am doing the virtual learning with my grandson; it is hard on him and me as well. He is not performing as well as he did during in school instruction; he is frustrated often, and has had many tears. He loved school before the shutdown; what a tragedy for kids to lose their love of learning due to this!
We are asking for a choice. A choice for kids and teachers that want to return to in- person instruction to do so . We now know schools can be safe when proper, reasonable, common-sense safety measures are in place. It's also time to stop with the excuses.... every other school system has figured it out.
My son has autism and while all the other school systems have been in school he has been left behind. No social groups, no teachers to understand and help him, constant noise and things going on around the house. We all know simple math 99.99% survival for the majority of the population. Get back in school, help these kids. They need socialization
My two third grade students are not suffering academically by virtual learning. They ARE struggling, DAILY, with the inability to have questions answered by their instructors in real-world time. They are also greatly missing the ability to maintain social interaction with their peers.
My kids need to be around their peers. They are depressed and I hate that I even have that word for a 2nd grader, 4th grader and kindergartener. That’s not ok. Get the kids back in the classrooms.
We need out children in school!

My family has all the resources we need to be successful with virtual learning, but we are still struggling! What about families without all the resources? I cannot imagine how difficult this is for them. Please figure it out for the sake of our children and HSE families!
