I too would be honored by an insult from Steve Earle. He could join the list of other musicians who have treated me badly over the years in my journalism career. That list includes Warren Zevon and Frank Black.

My husband is not a songwriter or can even sing in tune for that matter but he does Love Steve Earle and he would be incredibly honored by a wonderful insult by Steve Earle his name is Jay Stover and he is an attorney and he would be greatly honored by whatever the Duke of Earl decided to bestow upon him thanks so much and much love

For 30 years I've evaluated anything that calls itself country music by how much it does or does not suck when compared to Guitar Town....and I've worked in the country music industry a lot! I'm not a musician or songwriter by trade but I've played a lot of different instruments over my lifetime and am quite sure all of my efforts would fall short in Mr. Earle's opinion. I can think of no greater honor.

Mr. Earle currently has far more important people, people in much greater need of, his insults. And if Steve doesn't like it, I welcome his retort for my insolence. ...Bring it. =)

I'm a drummer & have played Copperhead Road & Guitar Town more times than i can count. I'm sure if you heard me play your tunes, I would be first in line for an insult. So just take my word for it, I believe I deserve an insult!
