It is not right that people who live in Housing Association properties are not allowed pets. For some people having a pet may be the only company they have. It is a well known fact that pets can be very good for both physical and mental health. Of course as in council properties the tenant has to sign a tenancy agreement and as long as the pet doesn't cause a nuisance to anybody they should be allowed to have one. It is very unfair that somebody may lose the chance of a nice new home because they are a responsible pet owner and won't give up their pet. If they do have to give up their pet it will cause heartache and a decline in both their mental and pyhsical health. So please sign this petition if you believe that Housing Association Tenants should be allowed to have pets.
