As members of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, we feel a void in our lives. This void is due to the lack of pets. Pets are a very important part of the lives of humans. As people we need companionship and animals provide unconditional love. We, the people, feel that the appropriate pet for such a large house would not be a dog or cat. This would be far too much responsibility and easily lost when girls are constantly entering and exiting the house. The best choice of pet for our chapter would be a turtle. Its easy to care for, generally stays in the same location (if it tried to run we could catch it), and quite charming. This pet would bring unity to the house by allowing us all to love and care for a specific creature of nonhuman status (aka turtle or terrapene carolina for all those science kids). Please take the time to consider this request and think of all the possibilities a pet turtle could bring.
