The new bill passed by the Australian senate in September 2014, under the title "National Security Legislation Amendment Bill (No. 1) 2014" is aimed to give unlimited, unrestricted, unrecorded and unmonitored power to any ASIO operative regarding the monitoring of any and all computers or networked devices on the Australian Internet. They require a single warrant to obtain this right, and even without a warrant they are in a singularly powerful position to obtain any information they want without regard for privacy, safety or personal liberty. They described this era as a "dangerous new age", but such dangers cannot be solved by stripping the citizens of a first world nation of their most basic rights to privacy.

We, the people of Australia, call upon the Australian House of Representatives to throw out the proposed legislation, respecting both the rights of the citizens it claims to represent and the spirit of freedom, honour and mateship under which the Australian government was first founded in 1901.
