I have coon hunted for over 40 years, my kids, my son in law and my grandkids all love doing this so please don't take this away from us.

The affect this would have on coon hunting, coyote hunting, and eventually upland hunting would de detrimental to those sports in our state. I hunted coyotes with hounds for 15 years and had one issue in those 15 years. The negative affect this would have on hunting far outweighs the very few "impactful issues" this bill is created to control. In those 15 years there was not one hunt that did not spill onto ground we lacked permission to be on. We were respectful of private property by not accessing that property until we gained permission, but our dogs did not. 99%+ of the time there wasnt an issue to speak of. This bill will completely destroy competition coon hunts in our state, this year our state hosted the world coon hunting competition, they would never return to Iowa again if this becomes law. I am in strong opposition of this bill.

I am against this bill because it discriminates against hound hunting. the State of IOWA allows hunters to shot from the road and send a bird dog on my property to retrieve it if another bird get up they can shot it also. they have to be 200 yards away from my house. byt can shot towards and in side the 200 yards. there dog can be in my yard. NOPE be consistant

I don't live in Iowa anymore but I have had a nonresident hunting license for the last 30 years . This bill will practicly put a end to using hounds to hunt game of any kind . Even rabbit hunting could be impacted by it .

Hunting with hounds is our heritage and a way of life or many people in my family. You can't take that away from them.
