Students should be allowed to wear hoods and hats in school. It is our constitutional right and can provide a sene of security and safety to students. Some people think it is disrespectful and rude to wear them in “public buildings” or places of work. But even in public schools where they aren’t allowed are telling us to express ourselves. Me being one of the students that enjoys wearing a hood thinks this is insanity. I believe that this should be ended immediately. It also can provide a sort of “safety blanket” effect for kids with a mental illness. But when the pledge or other times like the national anthem are playing or being recited they should be removed. Although I do deeply believe that while paying respects to a flag, or am anthem is being recited, wearing any head covering(s) that aren’t for religious or cultural meaning is blatant disrespect. I believe that through-out the day wearing hats and hoods should be allowed. If there was ever a situation where a student has a medical condition rogar result's with the student having hair loss. Or, is a student was bullied and gum, paint, food, or other material was put into their hair witch results in them in them having to cut their hair, a hood or a hat could provide comfort and possibly help prevent them from farther being bullied. That is one of the many reasons why students should be allowed to wear hats or hoods during school.
