I was born in Portland and and although I have lived in Uk since a child, I visit Jamaica regularly and have seen the clock and not impressed. I think a statue of Nanny is definately more fitting. I also think Port Antonio deserves a facelift. I love my Parish.

The clock in Port Antonio square have no importance historically and serves no purpose. Nanny as a historical figure can now be show cased for all to see along with some of what she did for jamaicans back then.

As our only national heroine, Nanny deserves this statue in recognition for her bravery.
