Petition for ID Card Access to the Honors Center

Stand with the Honors Board to help honors students regain full-time access to the James W. Biehl and Jan T. Hallenbeck Honors Center! Drs. Biehl and Hallenbeck were the first directors of the OWU Honors Program, and in 2007, the Honors Center was dedicated in their honor. Unlike how art, science, music, and theatre students have 24-hour swipe card access to their respective buildings, honors students currently don’t have full-time access—or any access—to their building. Honors students do not have 24 hour card access to the building, nor is it unlocked during the day. Many current honors students don’t even know where this building is because they haven’t had access to it in over three years. If we gain access to the building, it will become a location for future Honors Program events hosted by the Honors Board, as well as a useful 24/7 study space for current and future honors students.
