The school board just confirmed that the Field House at Antler Stadium will officially be renamed in honor of Coach Dobbs. This is a massive win for everyone who signed and shared our goal. Keep an eye on the local school district website for the upcoming dedication event.

Final supporters
The purpose of this petition is to honor Coach Dobbs by renaming the Field House at Antler Stadium in Kerrville to "Charlie Dobbs Field House". Coach Dobbs came to Kerrville in 1964 and was employed by the school district for over 30 years. He was a football coach, track coach, teacher, bus driver, you name it. A true inspiration to all of his students and this building was his home away from home.
HE ALWAYS SAID: "All kids have potential, but you have to make them believe in themselves."
Coach Dobbs always answered the call when he was needed. Now it's our turn to show him and his family our gratitude for all the lives he touched.

So many memories with Coach Dobbs. Football, track, and in class. And. He always shared his gum! This is truly the best way to honor him! He very much deserves it in every way. I am honored to sign this. I tell my son stories about him and Coach Fifer.
I had the privilege of Coach Dobbs as my teacher. He is a great person with an uncanny ability instill in others the desire to work hard to reach their goals. And I love his wry sense of humor. I cannot think of anyone more deserving than Coach Dobbs to name the field house after.
Best coach I ever had. He treated us all the same lol. No one was above anyone on the team. He’s scream spit and maybe cuss (“damnit London”) a little bit he made us tough and able to take it when it came. A great man that is more than deserving of this.
He was my high school track coach and was the absolute best!! Always encouraging and pushing me to do my best. Just talked with him a couple of weeks ago when he showed up at my Uncle’s funeral. He is still the most caring person.
Kerrville has never had a more deserving person to be honored like this, than coach Dobbs! He positively impacted more people in one year, than most people do in a lifetime. I pray all the time that my kids are blessed enough to have a mentor like coach Dobbs in their life!

No one deserves it more than Coach Dobbs! Thank you coach for pushing me to my limits on the long distance runs, and then beyond. Your advice has followed me going on 45 years. Even the 3 licks were deserved. Lol..I never ran in the halls again! Much respect and admiration to you sir.
