This would provide a final resting place closer where we grew up, put down roots and a beautiful backdrop. My father was there in WWII prior to leaving for Germany, I worked there in early '70's while in college. Please get this done

Bottom line, it's the right thing to do to approve the transfer of 4.7 acres of forest preserve property to the Fort Sheridan National Cemetery. to the VA. We served proudly so others wouldn't have to fight.

As a retired Army Reserve Sergeant First Class who served at Fort Sheridan from 2006-2019 it would serve the families of deceased U.S. military veterans to be buried alongside their brothers and sisters in Arms to visit. I believe the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is the right agency to oversee the Fort Sheridan Cemetary.

Wound up as a morning clerk for the last year of my active duty service at Ft Sheridan. assigned to one of several admin units at Ft Sheridan upon my return from NAM. Great place..
