When I worked atFt. Sheridan after school in 1967, I assisted in the burial of Veterans and maintenance of the cemetery. The airfield was just east of the property.

I was in favor of this when potential uses after deactivation and media covered veterans protesting for this. Since I was active duty Navy living in the housing on Ft. Sheridan, I wouldn’t let them use my name. Damn shame the golf course and officer housing is owned by the uber riche.
