I was stationed at Fort Sheridan in 1967 and as a Survivors Assistance Office had one case of an active duty soldier buried there after being killed in a motorcycle incident. The family was from the south side of Chicago.

Please respect those who have served, this is how we show the next generations, how thankful we are for those who gave so much for us.

As the past commander for VFW Post 3873 I fully support the acquisition of the property. On a personal note several comrades I served with a buried there along with a monument to their sacrifice. I strongly support this endeavor.

Please expand the cemetery for veterans and their families.

Please allow the acquisition so that my family don't have to travel far to visit after I am gone. Please.

Please support the additional land acquisition at Fort Sheridan National Cemetery.

I want to expand Ft. Sheridan. Abe Lincoln is under assault from the terminal expansion.

I support the cemetery for our Vererans. They fought for our freedom, we owe them a cemetery to honor them.
