Honor the SIFC vote to Remove Dale Richter as Chair of SIFC

We ask that CDCR honor the move to remove Dale as Statewide Chair. It is incomprehensible that he has maintained power for as long as he has. For years, many of us at the local level have asked that there be bylaws in place that would prevent the continued monopoly of Statewide IFC.
The Statewide Inmate Family Council needs DIVERSE LEADERSHIP THAT RELFECTS THOSE MOST IMPACTED BY MASS INCARCERATION. That means we need women, people of color, and those visiting with children represented! One in four women have an incarcerated loved one. One in two Black women have someone locked up. Our voices and those of our children must be lifted up. We need Statewide policies pushed forward that promote family bonding in innovative ways, that remove burdensome and traumatic policies like glass visits and sexually invasive blanket policies like waistband searches that further damage our children and loved ones visiting.

I agree that the by laws were followed, the vote was done, all legally, the vote must be recognized and stand as voted, and be honored to remove Dale Richter as Chair of SIFC,

I demand for Respect of the bylaws! Disconnect historically with local IFC is not in the best interest of families and loved ones inside. It’s long overdue for new representation new blood new ideas! CDCR needs to support the bylaws and process in place.

I served on the IFC at SQ for 8 years, and I totally support the actions of the hard working SIFC members. Dale Richter has stood in the way of the majority of members and visitors, who reap the end result of this nefarious act. Dale has been removed by a vote by the members. End of story.

I became an ousted member because I refused to knowingly participate in Dale's schemes. One can see a mirror image of our current occupant in the White House and Dale Richter.

The vote to remove Dale Richter as Chair of the Statewide IFC should be honored as it followed the By-Laws. There also needs to be a limit to the number of years that anyone can hold an office with the SIFC - possibly 5 years.

A unanimous vote was held by active members to remove Dale as Chair of the SIFC. CDCR refuses to recognize this vote and Dale has ignored it, continuing to reign against the will of others. People honor the vote and take action as requested.
