Seaver and Hodges raised the bar from clowns to crowns. Seaver was the best of his era as Hodges was the best of his.

Tom Seaver is the Mets. His iconic pitching motion and perfected mechanics deserve to be depicted in three dimensions for generations of Met fans to marvel at. Likewise, there is no manager who changed the culture of the team from laughable to formidable more than Gil Hodges. Both of these men deserve to be honored for their contributions to the Mets' success and for providing generations of fans with idols whose reputations have remained unsullied on and off the field.
