This is a petition to deny the request by Bill Carter to rezone +/- 172.85 acre portion of property on the southeast corner of the intersection of Frierson Rd. and Sargent Rd. between Shaw AFB and Stamey Livestock Rd. from Limited Commercial(LC) and Light Industrial/Warehouse(LI-W) to Heavy Industrial (HI).
Approval of this request WILL result in the building of an asphalt plant which would cause detrimental issues not only to our health but to the environment and nearby property values.
This plant is just being moved from a different area, it will not bring in any new jobs just more damage to our roads and pollution to our environment.
