I agree we need rules & regulations but do find some of these changes a little oppressive. Isn't there a better, more concise, way to communicate with residents of the community? Perhaps a simple list of current rules/regs and suggested changes could be sent to all electronically? I, for one, am not able to attend all the open board meetings. The one I did attend turned into contentious arguments and not all voices were heard. Eliminating the emotions of physical meetings would allow everyone to review what exists and what is proposed and vote yes or no electronically. It would also allow everyone to have a voice if they have a suggestion that might be beneficial to the community without risking verbal attacks or having their suggestion rejected by the few that have the loudest voices. ... any, by the way, can we restrict street parking to only one side of the street instead of both sides?

I do not totally disagree to the revision proposal. But I think the Builder, which I believe controls the board direction, should have more respect to the community residents by listening and accepting their concerns.

We should discuss and perhaps vote on these provisions. Let us not make such drastic rules changes unilaterally.

The discussion about these changes (and all previous changes) have been held in “private working sessions”, not with the community. At the “open Board Meeting”, we are TOLD what is being changed and then the vote is taken. Has our discussion changed any decision?
The purpose of a HOA is to manage shared assets (clubhouse, pool, etc.) and shared services (trash/snow removal, lawn service, etc.). it's designed to help make our lives flow more easily by taking care of basic maintenance and taking the weight off our shoulders.
The HOA Board is NOT the government of this community.

I am signing this petition first and foremost because I agree with section 17.01 of the bylaws everyone that has an opinion on the new bylaw proposals should have a chance to be heard compromise and discussion will facilitate fairness where is restrictive mandates will just create Division and Discord. I believe the majority people that live here enjoy the community and have develop new friendships I personally have great neighbors who have become my friends let's not ruin a good thing by creating animosity for the sake of postponing of vote until a public gathering can take place, voices heard and fair decisions made.

I oppose the new proposed rules. I do not believe they represent the sentiment of what this active adult community stands for and was presented to us when we bought in.

I agree with this. The present board has not allowed for any reasonable discussion and has usurped a lot of power for themselves. The Board simply cannot present revised regs. as a fait accomplii
