The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, a School Board member, and other community leaders have approved County funds and resources to be expended to support a homeless shelter in Old Ashburn, managed by the Good Shepherd Alliance.
They plan to re-route a County bus line to transport homeless, recently released prisoners, recovering drug addicts, mentally ill, and others into the heart of Old Ashburn.
Old Ashburn, according to the County\'s own development plan, is supposed to retain the look and feel of a "village."
