Homeless and unfair low income for the disabled and elderly in our own country

Its disgraceful we dont take care of our own

Truly our goverment needs to take action immediately on the following issues ... 1) Rent is way too high n tenants have to fill out applications n must have a flawless credit score , this is an outrage n unacceptable 2) Seniors n the Disabled r in dire straits as their basic wage given for housing is $732 which there is no apartments that cheap in the city n not even a bachelor .3) omg do sumthing about the high cost of gas , how can we as low income citizens pay insurance n the price of gas , its an outrage 4)Create sum more homeless shelters with all these boarded up houses in our city of Windsor n make sum of these homes for drug treatment n mental issues n alcohol abuse .. The people need this badly n quickly ... 5) Raise ODSP n OLD AGE PENSION checks n CHILD TAX BENIFIT checks also, people r way below poverty level n r fighting between paying rent n bills or eating ... disgusting .. Sad as Canadians that the refugees get more money, great housing than our own born n raised citizens of Canada .. 7) Close our boarders n no more immigrant refugees allowed in our country ... They r sucking our system dry of finances Canadians born here could use ...

People can’t survive off what you’re providing them! These are some of our most vulnerable citizens, and you are making them even more vulnerable. Shame on you all!

My sister recently had to move and her rent literally doubled! She pays 500.00 more a month to rent then i pay for my mortgage and taxes combined. Its ridiculous! Something needs to be done.

Rent is ridiculous you have to choose between food.or a place to live if you're low income

I am about 3 weeks away from being homeless with 2 children because I am not able to get one damn landlord to trust in me. I am being evicted out of my home because my landlords daughter can't find an apartment so now I am the one who is going to be on the streets or maybe lucky enaugh to find a motel. I wanna cry everyday but i have to stay strong for my children n make them feel like everything is ok but it's not. Shame on our government for allowing this to be possible for their own people.

There should be NO homelessness in CANADA!!

I was homeless for 9 months. Sometimes we had somewhere to sleep, but sometimes we had no choice but to sleep in my vehicle. It was hard saving money trying to eat and survive. I was kicked out of the welcome center with my son because I was working and didn't have time everyday to look at 5 houses and still paid my car insurance, gas, credit card and cellphone bill. I wasnt allowed to keep myself and credit afloat which is what every landlord now looks at is your credit. I lost my house due to workplace injury and fighting with work and wsib to get no where. It's a horrible feeling and I never wish homelessness upon anyone.

It is a sad state of affairs that is happening all over our province! Vets, homeless & seniors (are are most vunerable - in that order) Time to wake up Ontario!! No one should have to make choices just to have basic needs!

Becoming homeless can happen to anyone. Including myself.

This is a terrible problem. Homeless means no place to live. Imagine that for even a moment

We need change , we deserve to live in safe homes and not have to pay our entire earnings on rent leaving no room for high utilities and food.

We really need to get this homeless problem under control.

The homeless need a place to call home. They don't have that. It's time the City of Windsor does their job. Get them off the street.

We deserve to find homes. We own a business and can afford what most cannot. We still cannot find a home in this city or Essex county. The rate of families living in the street is more then doubled. We alone have friends staying with us because they cant find anything. Our home us now being sold and we will be with all the other families who have jobs and no where to live. Please do something our city needs action...

Help these people!

Rent prices are ridiculous. There should be a rent cap on rentals.
