We need to treat homeless people like people. It's not too much to give them respect, dignity, love. None of these cost a thing and I believe it's what we are supposed to do. Be the hands and feet of Jesus, help his brothers and sisters as if they were your own, because they are.

Hoimelessness is one of the ills of our society that we can't continue to ignore. Every person should have a bed to sleep in and a roof over their head every night. As a society, we need to address that failure.

We must work together to recognize our homeless as refugees of poverty and victims of civil rights abuses and injustice. Until we right this wrong, we have no choice but to hang our head in shame as a nation.
