We the undersigned oppose the Homebase tower. We oppose the Mayor of London's decision to "call in" the application. We urge the Mayor of London to respect Wandsworth Council's original decision to reject the application.

Wandsworth already has the highest predicted development of new builds in london in the next ten years. Where is the infrastructure to support this? We need more schools, more trains, buses and a better road system before this happens.
Completely inappropriate height for the area and no plan to improve infrastructure (railway, health, education) to cope. Rejected already by the council who have more understanding of local needs than a distant mayor.
The proposed development is portly designed with poor public urban realm and is contrary to planning policy on height, massing and will adversely affect the local park, nearby residences at The Schoolyard, Riverside West and The Tonsleys.
This development is too tall, will overload Wandsworth Town station even more and is contrary to Wandsworth's own planning regulations. Developers should not be able to override planning regulations by promising Sadiq Khan extra affordable housing.
For all the reasons why it was rejected at local planning and for reasons of pure greed now. To increase the % of affordable housing to 35% to tick the box they need to increase the height which goes against all the reasons why we are at this stage. Plus a nice CIL fee
17 stories!!! Really? This will ruin the area.
Battersea needs industrial areas not just more and more new blocks of flats for an increased population which the infrastructure is having trouble with supporting as it is!

As a local resident I don't feel the local facilities and transport, which is already stretched, can handle further residents. This tower will also have a huge effect on Smuggler's way blocking sunlight to properties in autumn/winter.
