I'm sure the BOD and MLS committee have good intentions but I feel this decision actually increases the associations liability with actual Keys being passed out that can be copied in addition to not being able to track the times in which the doors are being open.

Home and pest inspectors provide an important service to our clients. Allowing them Supra eKey access is beneficial to EVERYONE involved. Please reinstate this privilege.

I feel that all active inspectors should have eKey privileges with training and appropriate fees. It is of great benefit to us as Realtors to have these services available. These service providers need to be allowed to possess Supra access.

I very much agree - Inspector eKEY privileges are an association benefit to Realtor members and serve as additional security to listed properties. Use of an eKEY allows better record keeping of entry into properties. Please reinstate Paul Eikert’s privilege and do not revoke inspector privilege at the end of 2018.

We believe there is merit to having some form of Key Control. We also believe to obtain a key, one should be required to attend annual training and pay a meaningful fee.

I’m signing this because inspectors and pest exterminators having their own keys saves so much time for so many people. It also helps the process of selling a home, with all of the potential obstacles it already entails, go a lot smoother!

This has made our job as realtors, more difficult! Please let home inspectors and termite inspectors (that take the ethics class) use the "e-keys"... Inspectors that are qualified to have an EKEY and are allowed to use them allows me to better serve my clients. The value I provide to my clients is not found in meeting an inspector at a home to give them access when they have the capable means of doing so themselves. Inspectors that have taking the same time and effort to pass the test and meet the requirements to hold an EKEY as a I have should have the same right as I do with the EKEY. The NELBOR is SUPPOSED to be working with the agents, NOT against them.

It is utterly ridiculous that we as agents will have to find time in our beyond hectic schedule to open the door for service providers. If someone wants to pay to have a Supra key great! It lets us know who has entered our listings and keeps us from driving all over the world. Not to mention what happens when people are late? That’s a HUGE problem, especially when there are other deals going on and deadlines to meet. These transactions are supposed to be as smooth as possible for our clients. This really puts a kink in things and is a terrible utilization of our valuable time. Please allow service providers to continue the use of their Supra.

Inspectors being able to let themselves into a property is incredibly helpful- the agents that aren’t showing up to host their clients on site should not be the ones forcing the hand of the agents that follow the rules!

This is MUCH safer for sellers versus a key being picked up from an office. Oftentimes they may pick up the key the afternoon before. The key could get easily lost or stolen before the inspector reaches the property.
