We need income to pay expenses!!! Our parishioners are getting older and are on fixed incomes and tired working at the festival. Our kids are not able to contribute as life has gotten very expensive in NY. It’s our only opportunity to save our church and not only that but to thrive.

I am so thankful to have attended a full time Greek school from K-6 and it has given me a foundation that cannot be measured. A Greek school is an amazing gift for all generations!!!!

Such a vast majority of pro opinions and votes, definitely warrants the issue to be revisited. Something with such great potential for the FUTURE of the church and OUR CHILDREN should not be decided by so few without more research and exploration. Personal grudges and misinformation should not cloud logic and reason. Christianity should drive our thought process- nothing else. Especially not selfishness and feelings of entitlement- which is much of what I heard on Sunday. True Christians do things to help and benefit others while not expecting anything in return. Anyone who knows me- knows I’m not just saying that, but practice what I believe. 18 years at Our church, are my evidence and that is the kind of world I want my children to grow up in.

This opportunity for a Hellenic Cultural School is important enough to continue our support.

This would be the best thing for the Greek church in Staten Island. Please bring the Hellenic Charter to Staten Island.

The establishment of the charter school would not only help promote the Hellenic ideal, it would leave a long lasting legacy for the Greek Orthodox community of Staten Island

Sending my a child to HCCS is the best choice I made, and as member of Kimisis Theotokou in Brooklyn, I can honestly say HCCS enriched our community and because of the school, our community grew.

The ship has sailed for the young Greeks like myself who have been in this community for over 20 years to reap the benefits of this deal; this does not mean, however, that our community and it's children cannot benefit tremendously from having the opportunity to attend a cultural charter school, in addition to securing fiscal stability in our Church's future. In realizing the full potential and purpose of the infrastructure we have been blessed with, we are carrying out the most important processes in any community: Growth, and the maintenance of our vision.

It would be great to get a Charter school that will promote Hellenism on Staten Island. This is the best legacy our community can leave for our children and children’s children.

Please revisit this opportunity. It has nothing to do with the present and everything to do with the future. Your grandchildren’s children will thank you.
