Holly's case is finally reaching the national stage because America's Most Wanted has agreed to feature the investigation. This has been a grueling and heavy road but we finally forced them to look at the truth. I am exhausted and relieved that we pushed past the silence.

Final supporters
On November 2, 2009, 22 year old Holly Cassano was found by her mother, brutally murdered in her home in Mahomet, IL. The Champaign County Sheriff's office is still seeking information regarding the murder and believe that a subject involved in the incident could have been injured and received a laceration. Holly was stabbed 60 times and sexually assaulted after she was killed. It is unknown if this incident was a random act or if more than one person was involved, but the police do know that the assailant was injured in the attack. They may have received cuts or lacerations on their hands and/or arms which required medical attention. As of February 24, 2011, they are still looking for the person or persons responsible for her death.
Holly left behind a beautiful 1 1/2 year old daughter who will someday wonder why this happened to her mother and as of now no one will be able to tell her why or that the responsible person (or persons) has been caught, convicted and sentenced for this heinous crime.
We are now reaching out on a national level and want to send a petition to America's Most Wanted to request that they profile Holly's case. There will be a two-day event held in Mahomet to sign the petition very soon, but for those who cannot be there to sign personally, please sign electronically.
John Walsh is dedicated to helping victims and their families and is one man who could help put this case to rest. Holly really deserves to have the person or persons responsible for this pay for their crime. Signing your name on this petition will help make that possible!

I remember when this happened. mahomet is such a small town it’s terrifying that the person who did this is still free.
Needs national exposure. Local cops have been stuck too long maybe a fresh set of eyes helps.
