Not only really wanting and missing this wonderful scent that I haven't smelled since early 2000's, but why did Hollister remove something so enormously popular? I haven't visited the store since it's been gone. Obviously this hasn't hurt the company. I saw a Facebook post yesterday from someone who said she'd stood in line forever with her twelvr year old daughter. After seeing that, I looked on the Hollister website and the clothes are cute. Saw an "if ypu liked August, try Beaches Please" ad. Might go sniff it. I went from August to Angel by Thierry Mugler so it was quite a price jump, but I love it. Still, can't get those August memories to go away. Me and thousands of other people. We need it back!

Dear HOLLISTER manufacturing, Please consider bringin back your signature scent AUGUST. I started using it approximately three months before it was discontinued and acually decided the very first time I wore it it would be my signature scent. I'm not a big fan of perfume(preferring lotions instead) but August was different...I find it hard to describe in words it's memorizing scent...it evoked warm past memories and somehow called forth comforting HOPE. I have struggled with severe chronic depression for years and as silly as this might sound the scent of AUGUST helped make easier the trials and obstacles that are associated with depression. It truly helped pull me from the darkness on a daily basis. I am not a chemist nor a neurologist but I am convinced(for me) it boosts endorphins and excelles the production of dopamine. I can't give your company enough praises for discovering and sharing this wonderful scent. PLEASE consider bridging it back or making a very similar one. I would like to say one more thing. My grandfather's mother passed away when he was only two years old, he remembered nothing of her except that she always smelled of LILACS.

Please. This fragrance was the absolute essence of coming of age for me, and my best friend who has since in the last decade passed in an awful and unexpected way. I would be delighted to be able to relive the best of our memories and youth through the pure nostalgia that the sense of scent can only do in such a peculiarly incomparable way. It seems to be very evident that I am not the only one who has been deeply moved by this fragrance and been hoping for its return. I have searched high and low all these years, hoping to find ANYTHING similar to scratch that itch and fill that void but there is literally nothing like it. I have never understood why Hollister wouldn’t do it purely as a wise business move considering it undoubtedly costs very little to produce and manufacture compared to the retail markup and so many of us are eager and already committed to maintaining the demand to justify the supply and keep that ship afloat and sailing! Even if for selfish reasons alone it would be a very wise move for Hollister. Perhaps some of the ingredients have since been removed and/or regulated? Maybe even ingredients that do not have any proper equivalent? That is the only thing that I could ever imagine to explain a company/ brand stepping on its own toes to NOT make more money. Anyway, maybe it’s a pipe dream. But maybe it’s not. I’ll remain optimistic because I would like to think that someone out there in that upper board room network may feel inspired someday to reunite so many people with something they dearly miss.

This perfume is truly the best and so impossible to recreate with any other combination of other fragrances and the scalpers online selling their old stock bottles are terrible. They have something precious that is extremely limited and close to extinction, so I guess they feel justified but it feels very ugly. All the money Hollister could be making by reissuing something only they can! They have to know how serious we are about really wanting this one back. Pleaseeeeeeee!
