Saying or doing nothing about this type of abuse is the same as saying it's okay...but also, saying or doing nothing about the negligence and ineptness of our RCIPS only means that this type of incompetence will continue...It's not okay to abuse and abandon our helpless children. As emotions run the gamut of anger, sadness and frustration within our community we must address our Police who are supposed to be there to ensure our safety...maybe the RCIPS needs to pull their socks up by employing capable, highly reliable, academically keen individuals who not only has the physical prowess to safeguard the community but the brain power and intelligence to ensure that matters such as this are to be dealt with and that the cases are thoroughly and effectively managed and followed through to completion. I could go on and on but the fact is that the entire organization called the RCIPS could use a complete overhaul!!!

Shocked. Not shocked. Police officers don't always do what they are supposed to. They should definitely be held accountable! And the mother??? She should spend time in jail too!

This really angers me that the Police could be so negligent in a case of this nature. If they don't care about our children how can we have confidence in them? They're supposed to be there to serve and protect but left this child in the home to continue to be abused now look at what has happened. A petition also needs to be signed to hold the mother accountable! I so very disappointed in these officers!

Let us keep in mind that these failures happened under Baines watch. He is now gone, let's get rid of the rest of the bad apples
