Yet another attempt to force out a successful, sustained business that was brilliantly not only service the local artist community, but the neighborhood in general. NoSo was one of the first establishments to re-open their doors under duress of great expense after hurricane Sandy in order to help being healing the community after so much devastation. This is how their rewarded? Unacceptable! I hope that powers that be realize the line needs to be drawn here.

I've lived in Hoboken for 22 years; this was one of the last great gathering spots and was crucial to local music.

Great bar and great guys - held a charity event there for four years in a row - couldn't have done it without them

Not only will everyone boycott any new establishment that goes into the space but the banshee will also put a hex on it :)

First it was Maxwell's, and now Northern Soul. We can't keep losing venues for artistic expression in Hoboken. Otherwise this town will have no soul at all.

One of the last few places in Hoboken you could enjoy live music! What a shame.

Northern Soul was a refuge from the mainstream. It was a place you knew you belonged, even with your dog. I had the pleasure to DJ here. I know the regulars and know it is a loss to the community. Let it rise again
