The bureaucratic suits at the top are pushing a funding model that treats our education like a factory assembly line. They want to crush smaller institutions under the weight of these hollow output metrics, but we refuse to let them gamble with our future. I am meeting with administrators behind closed doors to demand they stop this assault on our independence.

The sheer momentum behind this petition proves that the university board can no longer ignore our demand for true institutional independence. They are terrified by our growing unity and they should be because we are not backing down until they stop prioritizing their broken funding model over the future of Brussels higher education.

Brussel heeft nood aan een eigen identiteit en autonomie op vlak van onderwijs. Stop met die fusiedrang.
Laat de VUB haar eigen ding doen. Fusies met grote instellingen elders werken gewoon niet voor een stad als Brussel.
Inderdaad. Het is schandalig hoe ze kleine opleidingen de nek omwringen door dat nieuwe model.
Kwaliteit boven kwantiteit! De VUB moet zelf keuzes kunnen maken zonder dat alles in een verplichte mal moet passen.
Houd onze universiteit in Brussel sterk en onafhankelijk. Niet alles draait om cijfers.

Helemaal mee eens. De financiering moet rekening houden met de specifieke context van onze hoofdstad.
