This is the chance to send a message to drive up vaccination rate. When a WHOLE building is quarantined, resources can be diverted to guarding the building.

Please reconsider for home quarantine as practical and viable options for families with small kid and no family or friend support

It seems like mixing people together (on buses, transport) and reusing the quarantine rooms adds risk compared to leaving people at home under ‘stay in place’ home quarantine. Also less disruptive to families, kids, elderly and people are already set up for being at home. Can administer testing etc there.

Action should be proportionate to risk. Why can’t these families quarantine at home ? Lock up the whole building and put in the staff to monitor but don’t displace them from their homes and put them in harms way

The conditions of quarantine are not acceptable on many levels and cause unnecessary stress. Allow people to remain in their own homes, with due precautions, and tracking. This will surely save the government money and is for the good of the people who are loosing faith in Hong Kong.

It's terrible for the people with baby and elderly

Home quarantine some people could need daily medicine and care with particular food requirements so I personally feel being in there own home is safer than Govt quarantine.

I have been in close contact quarantine now for 16 days. It is brutal, inhumane and cruel. Standards do not even comply with the world health organisations for close contact government quarantine. Those in gaol at least are permitted fresh air and exercise but in close contact government quarantine this is not permitted. The food is inedible and certainly does not offer any nutrition. Studies have shown that this type of incarceration creates psychological damage and mental health issues. It should be be allowed by human rights standards

It makes sense...you can seal the complete building, that way noone can go outside, but atleast let people live with their families. I know you are trying to see us, and we feel you are doing an amazing job, but sending the whole building or small kids to quarantine centre should not be a solution. There are better ways to manage this and please trust HK people, they are one of the most mature people in the world and they will follow your guidelines.
