Please show some compassion and logic and let people quarantine in their own homes

The current policy is ludicrous, draconian, and completely backward. One case should not impact the lives of hundreds of people. There have been pandemics before and there will be more in the future- this is not how to deal with them.

Please allow people who are not direct close contact but merely living in the same building to do home quarantine.

Agree. Please reevaluate how penny bay and quarantine camp works. Have a good solid effective plan and consider families with young kids and babies.

Home quarantine should be allowed especially for those who have been vaccinated with both jabs

The purpose of taking people from a building to a quarantine centre is to prevent further spread within the building and community. If everyone in a building is taken to a quarantine centre without testing, the assumption is that everyone has been exposed. If this is the assumption, then the more logical and safer action is to have home quarantines for all building residents. And better than both of these is to update testing methods and protocols so that they can catch variants of concern at the testing stage as this is where the problem seems to lie. The recommendations listed in the petition are good ones that make sense.

I support home quarantine and consideration of other sensible solutions to manage the impact of COVOD.

It is good to be cautious, but people full vaccinated (2 weeks after second jab) should be exempt from quarantine: unluckily they might take the virus but definitely will be mild and with a very low viral factor.

It worries me that we may be sent to Penny Bay for quarantine as we have a small baby. There appears to be no guarantee that the government would make appropriate arrangements for us accordingly.

I support home quarantine for our mental health. As an incentive for citizens to get inoculated, fully vaccinated people should also be allowed to endure a shorter quarantine!
Please show some compassion and logic and let people quarantine in their own homes
