We the undersigned members of DeCordova Bend Estates Community petition our Board of Directors to recognize the Hit N Giggle Girls as a golfing organization designed to promote the game with women of the community as each member begins, develops, and advances their personal journey playing Golf. Membership in the organization is open to all women that are legal members of DeCordova Bend Estates Country Club. We petition the Board to recognize Hit N Giggle Girls will meet one day a week for a Shotgun start Tournament on the Durant Course with date and time to be announced by the Pro Shop of the Club at least 72 hours in advanced except during times of unforeseen circumstances such as unfavorable weather, or unexpected golf course maintenance. We are asking for no money contribution

I have been hearing from so many women who feel more confident about stepping onto the course because of this group. The board members are starting to notice the momentum building behind our request for formal recognition. We are keeping the pressure on to ensure our weekly games on the Durant course become a permanent part of the club schedule.

Seeing the momentum behind this proposal shows how much we all value having a welcoming space on the course to learn and play together. It is heartening to realize so many of you share this vision for our community and I am ready to bring our request to the board.

I am to limited in my ability to walk but if I were able bodied this is the group I would have joined. Their stated purpose is to learn the game, rules and etiquette of golf while enjoying oneself. There are too many players in the regular ladies golf group who are far from welcoming to novice players. HNG is exactly what our club needs if it to become a place for ALL residents, regardless of expertise in the great sport others embrace and enjoy.
This group is enjoying playing the game and as a dues paying member since 1999, I’d like to see it sanctioned.
If not a shotgun start in the morning, how about an afternoon? I played with a group in Angel Fire that started @ 4:oo and one in Lubbock that started @ 5:00. It allowed the working ladies to attend. I'd like to join if you do that. I'm not a morning person.
Hit N Giggles deserves recognition and the same consideration other golf groups are already receiving. Shotgun starts on Tuesday mornings don’t hurt anyone.
Hit & Guggle Girls is the reason I am now playing golf and dining in the Clubhouse. This group of wonderful women has helped me find a friend base in my neighborhood.
I am a beginner and would like to join please.
So excited DCBE has a golf group for me to get started with golfing — looking forward to starting this fall.

I have never played golf, but this group makes me feel that I would be welcome to come and learn. This group is needed for those who are just learning. Where else will we have support and camaraderie as we try to improve? It is insulting to feel that only the "real" golfers matter in DCBE.
