The Task: To petition business owners and companies to give priority to military veterans and military retirees and to demand the government create a job placement program to help our vets transition back into the workforce.

The Problem: Our military veterans have put their life on the line and have worked in dangerous situations while being thousands of miles away from their family and friends for extended periods of time. Sadly, many of our service men and women have been victims of government cutbacks and many of our vets were given pink slips while working in the field in Afghanistan, in many cases, leaving their families financially devastated.

With the continuing cutbacks and the dramatic changes the military is currently experiencing, more and more of our vets are being forced back into the workforce. Many with transferrable skills, and many of them not sure where to begin looking after years being in combat-related roles. The economy has also dramatically changed, making it more difficult for veterans to locate sustainable employment in general.

The Solution: By putting intense pressure on companies and businesses, as well as our government, we can hopefully help the government come together with businesses to form an employment program for our service men and women.
