Good luck, our children need more one on one time to express their talents and be our future. Smaller class size is a must to be successfully educated.

My daughter attends Marshall Elementary. She's only had 2 teachers in 1st, 2nd, and now going into her 3rd grade year. They also need more teachers. My daughter's class group has always been between 24+ students per room. I do not feel she nor her fellow peers are able to receive the education they deserve. Laurel Highlands give our children a chance!

First grade is such a critical grade for students class sizes over 20 students in first grade will have a long term impact on students if students do not have the intense instruction needed at this critical developmental time. Reaearch shows that if by third grade these learners have not received appropriate instruction to support them developmentally districts will need to provide remediation support for them for the remainder of their school years howevever if provided with smaller class sizes in the developmental years before third grade additional remediation though their school years is not needed Placing appropriate support in smaller class sizes in k, 1, 2 and 3 are critical.

I teach 2nd grade in a neighboring district. Despite what your board members and administrators tell you, teachers in the classrooms will tell you, SMALLER CLASS SIZES MAKES A DIFFERENCE!!!

First grade overall is so important in starting their formal education. One teacher to 24-25 students can only do so much. We can make a difference!!!!

We need as many teachers for our children as we can so they can learn anddhaae a bright future. Especially with a large class. Please take this in to account when make the final decision. I know money is tight but they are our future.

I would love to see 4, 1st grade teachers this year! I know Kindergarten was a struggle last year with so many kids in each class!

I feel a 4th first grade teacher is vital in order for the children to thrive during this crucial time in their education.

I also believe a 4th First Grade teacher is necessary to eliminate such a large classroom for kids at this early reading and learning level. A smaller classroom will help kids to stay on task and engaged in learning. Our children deserve a stable learning environment without classroom over capacity which create many distractions. Please sincerely consider our concern as parents who want the best for our children and their future.

First grade is the most important in a child's education. Without a fourth teacher, our first grade students will fall behind.

No question about it, we need four First Grade classrooms at Hatfield. This cannot be ignored for another year.

Please hire another First Grade teacher at Hatfield. My daughter's Kindergarten classroom last school year was entirely too big. I'm not sure how much she could learn. There were several students with behavioral problems and another student who could not speak English who according to my daughter crawled around on the floor all day. Hutchinson Elementary School's First Grade has a similar size and four classrooms. Why can't Hatfield? I pay a lot of taxes as most other parents do too. Our children deserve better.
