The Illinois High School Theatre Festival is the largest & oldest non-competitive high school theatre festival in the world. The three-day Festival takes place every year in early January, and switches locations annually between the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Illinois State University. Each year, over 4,000 students, teachers, university representatives, exhibitors, and volunteers come together for three days to put on over 25 different high school productions and over 150 workshops. Other highlights include college/university auditions for high school seniors, professional development for teachers, a student film festival, and the annual All-State Production, featuring student cast, crew, and orchestra members from across the state.-Taken From The official website.

The administration has acknowledged the volume of this petition and requested a formal meeting to discuss location logistics. I am preparing a briefing document that outlines the benefits of returning the festival to the University of Illinois.

Urbana-Champaign just feels like home for the fest. ISU is fine but nothing beats the U of I campus for this event.
The travel to ISU is way too much for our students. bring it back to Champaign where it belongs.
The facilities in Champaign are just built for this. dont break what isnt broken.
Keep it at U of I! best memories of my high school years were at that festival.
it makes no sense to move it around when one place is clearly better equipped to handle the crowds. stay in urbana.

Please make this happen. i missed it so much last time it was at ISU.
